How to Play Downhill Racer

The key to success in Downhill Racer is knowing how to steer your skateboard, but more importantly how to make it go as fast as possible. To steer your rider down the track, drag your player left or right on the screen while making sure you stay on the road. The track is immense and changes consistently. Lean into turns early because the courses will wind sharply past cliffs, forests, icy terrain and more. This will help you gain speed.

Other skateboarders will be sharing the track with you. Don’t hesitate to steer into them, especially if they are blocking you from collecting a coin trail. You can bump them off the road, but be aware that they can do the same to you. Coins are scattered all along the track, and it’s smart to follow these trails so you are not only guided along the track but so you can gather enough coins for upgrades.

The great part about Downhill Racer is you can never really fall off the board unless you are ejected by an obstacle like another player.

Downhill Racer Upgrades

You can spend your coins on the following:

• Top Speed: How fast you can go.
• Acceleration: How quickly you gain or regain speed.
• Handling: How responsive your steering is.

You can also unlock new boards and character skins from the Skin tab. Some come with their own starting stats and star ratings, giving you a different balance of speed, acceleration, and handling right from the start.

Levels get more and more challenging and visually different too. So enjoy the ride and collect as many coins as you can!
