The story begins with your character awakening after a terrible night, of which he doesn't remember much. Your first objective will be to discover what happened while running small crime jobs for a friend named Joe. Build up your reputation as a bad guy by running or driving through the large city and making as much money as possible by completing different objectives.

You start as a nobody and will have to figure out the most efficient way to earn credit within the ranks of the local mafia. Do you want to be ruthless and commit atrocious crimes or keep it simple, drive a stolen car and undertake protection rackets?

The map on the top left of the screen will help you find the spots in downtown that lead you to completing your tasks: these are marked by a yellow circle, both on the map and on the playing field. Each completed task earns you some cash and enables you to build up your status. Be careful: as soon as you commit a crime, the police will reach you and try to take you down!

The story of the mafia in this city is also interesting: you can vie for position against other criminal masterminds and try to take them down if you wish, or align with the ruling mob and try to get into it. As you progress, you will find your own path and make your own choices in this open world. You will have endless amounts of fun as the longevity of this game is fantastic.
