Space Waves is an arcade game where you control an arrow through dozens of levels across multiple worlds and modes, dodging obstacles at every turn. Pick any level, any time, and let the difficulty faces guide how brave you're feeling.
How to Play Space Waves
Start with the Tutorial to get familiar with the basics. Keep in mind that gliding only takes you down, not up, so make sure to move upward before any incline ahead. For circular spikes, it's safer to stay low rather than try to go over them. If you're caught between obstacles above and below, tap continuously to zigzag through with steady forward momentum. Timing is key, and it takes a moment to rise, so start your move early to line up with whatever you're trying to dodge.
All levels of Space Waves more or less have the same scope: get to the end of the level without crashing your arrow into a wall, a rotating cog, or thorns. Each level has its own degree of difficulty. If you choose a "green" level, you'll be met with wider space and angles, making it possible to gain some straight momentum with your arrow. As you choose more difficult levels, you can expect more obstacles, tighter angles, and more of them.
Space Waves Game Modes
- Classic: Reach the finish to complete levels. You get to select your level and choose from three worlds. World 1: a simple world with simple levels. World 2: easy levels; World 3: the floor is lava! You get to choose which level you want to start on, so depending on your risk level, go for gold and come home easy, or start slow and build up your tolerance.
- Endless: Go as far as possible and set a high score.
- Race: Reach the finish before others. Choose your difficulty level: easy or hard, across over 19 levels. You will see all other characters racing with you; you can't interact with them, but you can see if they disappear because of a crash, and all of their movements. If you crash, it's game over. There is a tracker at the top so you can see who is in the lead and how much path is left. Don't get distracted by that, because as soon as you take your eyes off the game, it's game over.
Customization
You can change your skin, choose a fiery arrow, a rounded arrow, and some arrows can even get skins with color.
Tips and Tricks
- Most moves will be you zigzagging your way through the round, but the key is how fast or slow you will be going. When the floor is lava, zigzag your way through; consistent peaks and valleys require timing and precision.
- If you are having difficulty on a round, you can go to practice mode. It will give you a few chances to not start over completely, but to start from where you last crashed.
- Each time you crash, you will get the percentage of how far you got into the round. Sometimes, when you crash, you will be given an option to start from where you last crashed to complete the round. You usually need to watch an ad to do so, and you only get that one chance, so be prepared before you press resume!
