How to Play Color Match

In Color Match, your goal is to match the color of an object presented to you using a series of available colors. The challenge is to mix and combine different colors until you reach the correct shade that closely matches the object.

Painting happens on a white mixing canvas below the color palette. Dab your brush into any of the paint, each with its own playful name like Smalt, Café Noir, Lemon Curd, or Deep Fried, then swipe across the canvas to blend your colors together. Your task is to match the color of the object on the screen as best possible so for example, matching a deep plum might mean mixing blue, black, and red into each other but the key is finding the perfect balance. If your mix gets a bit too difficult to save, the restart button on the left wipes the canvas clean so you can start fresh. If your mix looks good, click the green check and see how close of a match it is to the original color prompt.

After you submit your color to compare to the original, you get graded with an accuracy percentage and a final verdict. If your score isn't up to par, you get sent back to the canvas to fine-tune the shade so just keep trying. Keep painting through fruits, vegetables, and other objects to get that 100% score.

You can only move on to the next round once you've matched the color to a high percentage. At first, if you manage to match 60% of the color, you’ll need to keep experimenting. At 70%, you're getting closer, but it's still not enough. When you finally reach 90%, that’s when you’ve nailed it!

Once you've mixed the right colors and achieved the exact match, you can apply that color to the object and compare it side by side with the original. This visual comparison helps you see just how close you were to the perfect match!
