How to Play Master of Numbers

Brush up on your math skills because the only way to succeed in Master of Numbers is to count fast on your feet. You start with a low number and move along a continuous scroll, collecting numbers that add onto your current total. The catch is that you can only collect numbers smaller than your own. Collect anything higher, and it's back to the start. Since the game moves fast, every decision counts.

Not great at mental math? Follow the colors. Purple numbers are safe to collect as they are smaller than your current number. Red numbers are off limits and higher than yours. Grab one, and the game is over. Try to stay focused on what's ahead because once you pass a number, you cannot go back to retrieve it.

Be careful not to zigzag too quickly from side to side, trying to collect numbers in bulk. Move too fast, and you risk falling off the board.

Power-Ups and Pitfalls in Master of Numbers

There are a few ways to quickly grow your number, and just as many ways to lose it.

The rainbow magnet lets you pull in all purple numbers nearby, but it comes with a trade-off. Every collected number attaches to you, making it harder to avoid red ones. Move away from reds as much as possible without falling off the edge. Bonus amounts and boosters are also available, often by watching an ad. The starred shield booster is especially useful as it lets you knock through red numbers instead of losing to them.

Watch out for subtraction cards. When you walk into a number with a subtraction symbol, that amount is deducted from your total. You often cannot avoid these entirely, so pick the one where you lose the least and plan ahead for what comes next. Red circulating blades work the same way, shaving off your number when you pass through them.

Scoring and Upgrades

The more numbers you accumulate, the more money you earn at the end of each round. Depending on your score, you can start future rounds with a higher number or increase your speed. Both are paid upgrades, but they can give you a serious edge.
