How to Play Taming.io

Craft and Upgrade

In the beginning, it’s just you and your pet. You can choose to spawn besides a wolf, a rabbit or a bear. You should quickly start harvesting resources to defend yourself, attack others and generate additional future resources.

You can collect four different types of goods:

• Wood
• Stone
• Food
• Gold

Wood and Stone are essential to create tools and weapons, but also to build your base and the defensive structures supporting it.

Food is useful to heal and to recover stamina, while gold is used to buy equipment, but it also contributes to your score.

As you start your harvest, you begin aging and each time you age, you’ll receive a selection of rewards that boost your capabilities as a survivor. These rewards can be anything from food items to recovery health, tools, and weapons.

Waste no time getting started. Start building your fortress and fortify it with walls and turrets. One of the most important buildings to unlock for your base is the windmill. This structure generates gold for you automatically.

Tame Pets

The unique angle of Taming is the pet battles. You can choose from a selection of pets at the start, but you can also tame up to two additional wild animals. The primary method for discovering new beasts to tame is to locate wild baby animals on the map; these are often found sleeping. There is no guarantee that the animal you are approaching will be happy to be tamed, but you can increase your chances of success by using items like apples and stones, which give you a 1% boost to tame certain animals.

You can also equip yourself with special gear, like the Tamer’s Cap and the Luck Hat, as well as a dedicated tool that shoots apples, aptly named the Appletor, to have more opportunities to tame animals.

Any animal has a magical type, and there are four different types of magic in Taming.io:

• Fire
• Water
• Plant
• Electric

Try to build a squad of pets with complementary magic types to increase your chances of success in this game.

Build a Team

Since Taming is a multiplayer .io game, you share the world with numerous other gamers. It’s a good idea to get in touch with some of them to form a team. Doing it alone will be more challenging as you face other teams and higher-level players who will dominate you.
